          and, since TV in the US is already supersaturated* with with car commercials, i'm not excited about volunteering to watch them at work. * - yes, when the weather gets cold, they precipitate out of solution and clog the cables.

            Interesting. The things I miss not having a TV. I guess the slumping US auto manufacturer sales and rise of Toyota to #2 in the US market is making the US auto industry desperate. But I suppose they're all advertising, even Toyota/Lexus? Marc

                The only effect i've notice on car commercials is the sudden touting of "30 MPG (highway)" as something impressive (ok, so it's pretty respectable for an SUV, but still...)
