Nice! Must have been all the Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters, fogging the memory. :)

Sunday: It's still Blame Someone Else Day. I still blame Josh Smith. ;P Monday: National Creamsicle Day (I had some jokes but I'm not in the soapbox...) Tuesday: National Relaxation Day/ National Failures Day. (Well, maybe if we weren't relaxing so much we wouldn't be failures. Does National Failures Day coincide with Adnan's birthday?) Wednesday: Bratwurst Festival(Not a big holidays for us Jews...) Thursday: National Thriftshop Day (Recycling leg warmers and pictures of geese for over 30 years!) Friday: Bad Poetry Day. I made a limerick for the occasion: There once was Link2006 All his posts made people sick So he went back to school But he still was a fool So we all beat him with a large stick Saturday: Potato Day (We're having potato salad at the wedding. I hate potato salad so I will be stopping at McDonald's for some Freedom Fries. Yeah, I know they are back to French Fries, but I hate the French.) Sunday: National Radio Day. And my birthday! I'll be spending 6 hours of it driving back from the wedding. Ick. I know I normally try to keep out of the namecalling. But tonight I couldn't help myself. Have a good week everyone! -- modified at 22:13 Sunday 13th August, 2006

Well, you'll have plenty of opportunity to check out the fine selection of radio stations across SD then. ;)

Not bad... needs a bit of work on the metre, but otherwise quite acceptable.:-D Tomorrow: Grump Day, since the boss had a mandatory Tribal Council meeting to attend on Saturday, and therefore didn't get to visit his girlfriend in Montana this weekend. Tuesday: Makeup Day - when we try to make up all the lost productivity from avoiding the boss yesterday. Wednesday: Hump Day - if we get past this one, we're over the hump for the week. Thursday: Pub Crawl Day, when all the welfare folks get a check, the pubs will be full and raucus. Friday: Roger Escapes Day, when I have a meeting in Flagstaff all day and can escape this godforsaken hellhole for a day. Saturday: Gas Guzzling Day, when I'll be cruising on the highway through Tucson and points south to delay returning here as long as possible. Sunday: Happy Birthday, Leckie - when I'll be tossing a few pints in your honor...:-D

The name French Frys comes from the way the potato is cut. Julienned aka French Cut The food comes from Belgium or The Netherlands originally.

The only problem is once you get west of Huron there really aren't any radio stations except public and country. I hate country. We'll be bringing along the portable DVD player so I don't go crazy. Oh wait, too late...

You do realise without the French, you'd have a Union Jack in the corner of your flag, assuming you had a flag at all, right ?

If the Brits can claim that we came late to WW1 & WW2 and they'd have won it without us, we can claim say the same about our revolution. ;)

*grin* well, it's obvious that without the USA, I'd be speaking German. Actually, I could have been speaking German anyhow ( mum is German, and my grandfather fought on the Russian front in WW II )

Kewl. My grandfather was in the navy for WW2. Served on a destroyer in the Pacific if I recall. The really interesting part for me is a bit further back. I have relatives that fought on both sides of the American civil war. A good chance that some even participated in the same battles.
