Hello, just back from a family trip...
-
Just landed back in Toronto from a family trip to China. I have been away for four weeks. It's unbearably hot in Shanghai (37C) these days. What is shaking out here? Hope you guys had a wonderful summer so far :)
Best, Jun
Jun - did you have any problems with the typhoon that hit the mainland? Welcome back to North America. I'm already looking forward to the first cold front and cooler weather in Atlanta.
Charlie Gilley Will program for food... Whoever said children were cheaper by the dozen... lied. My son's PDA is an M249 SAW. My other son commutes in an M1A2 Abrams

I'm going to China next friday on a vacation, I hope it'll cool down a bit before then but I'm not too hopeful :) My girlfriend is already there for business and when she called me yesterday she already warned me about the weather... I'm not going to pack too many sweaters :) Does your family live in Shanghai? I hope they didn't have any troubles with the typhoon?

No, the typhoon hasn't reached that area yet until we left. Hopefully, this typhoon will wipe off all the heat wave from the eastern part of China. I have some relatives in Shanghai. Also, it's more convenient for me to leave from there, as my parents live in a small town close to Shanghai. Anyway, my family and I have visited Beijing, Xi'An, Shanghai. Nanjing, etc. We climbed The Great Wall in 36 degree sunshine.
