I have 2 internet connections (LAN) but one internet account :-O. Since the internet connection is ip locked per user, i need to use either my laptop or my desktop while surfing, Since i am the only one who uses internet so this is not a problem. So I have to disable the network connection on the desktop (can't have 2 machines with same IP address on the network) if i am surfing on the laptop from the other room. One day my wife was playing games on the desktop so I just unplugged the cable instead of disturbing her. Yesterday evening i saw a water puddle close to the keyboad, after some investigation i realised that the water is coming through the cable, (no not over the cable, through the cable) Since it was raining the whole day yesterday and i guess due to some puncture somewhere the water has entered the cable and gravity did the rest coz the hub is on the roof. Lucky that the cable was not connected to the desktop.

The place where my mom works had all of it's redundant systems go down for about a week because they shared the same burried wiring conections that got flooded.
