My Comcast saga has ended finally. I opened my Comcast bill today and immediately blew my stack when yet again it was higher than it should have been. I call them up and the Comcast people cant explain the cost of the bill. Nor can they explain the price difference in the last 4 months (its been all over the place). Five months ago it was the same thing, one month it would be next to nothing then a late change and a double bill. At that time I called them and ended up having to resort to becoming a raging lunatic in order to get it all straitened out. Well not any more, I have canceled their umm service :~ . Best part of the deal is some now instead of me owning them 20 dollars they now own me 6 dollars. I won’t miss it, there just inst anything on TV any more worth watching and I only ever had the basic channels (just the local ones plus a couple of others). I spoke with someone else I know, and his bill also seemingly unnecessarily fluctuates, here’s my good deed for the day. Watch your Comcast bill, I bet it will fluctuates by about 4 bucks a month. Four dollars a month may not be a lot of money but why pay something that their own customer service people can’t explain? Besides it’s almost four bucks for a latte and I would rather have a latte. :)

I'd love to help, but unfortunatley I have prior commitments monitoring the length of my grass. :Andrew Bleakley:

Thankfully I don't have them any more either and it won't be missed... :) Some would say I'm petty worrying about a few bucks here and there, but hey do it right or don’t do it at all and I for one don’t understand their billing system. :~

I wouldn't say that. It's the principle. If they can't explain the charges then they don't need to be charging them. An extra $4 from each customer adds up to a lot of "oops" money.

That's what I was thinking. Writing a billing app isn't rocket science. (not that I mind being called cheap either) :)

My brother and his wife had a similar experience only with CableOne. CableOne put an extra charge on their bill but couldn't explain what it was for. My feeling is that if you can't explain the charge I don't have to pay it!

That's my theory. I just wonder if these companies would be so nonchalant if their employees where taking 4 bucks here and there.

I didn't have Comcast for internet, just TV service. Thanks for the tip though.
