Surely the hotel has toiletries available?

I heard that hotels were offering more in the way of toiletries now that fluids are not allowed in carry on luggage so I have high hopes. She has a bit of a latin temper so we have a running joke about keeping enough bail money around. This morning I kiddingly told her that she will need to be nice since I cannot afford bail in euros so much of knowing the right thing to say at the right time.

I am struggling to think of a single women I know who would use hotel toiletries even in the direst emergency. They can be awfully fussy about their lotions, potions, salves and concoctions. (I on the other hand have no such qualms. Does it lather? Bring it on.)
regards, Paul Watson Ireland FeedHenry needs you
eh, stop bugging me about it, give it a couple of days, see what happens.

Yes, but you have to contrast that with the reluctance to appear in public without bathing / shaving. Then again, when in Europe...

Don't worry, Amsterdam Hotel staff has a temper that's far beyond latin temper, she won't be a problem :) She is there before Monday and will light up this evening, Amsterdam is beautifull :)

I hear you. I feel like I paid for them so I am going to use them. My wife stopped at a store and did a little shopping (1.40 exchange rate aghhh) and is feeling much better. If the luggage is lost very long I may be putting in overtime to afford some clothing purchases. I think she is pretty openminded so we will be laughing about the journey when she gets back.

She is attending a week long college class in Amsterdam which she has been looking forward to for months. She shows up three hours early becasue of security then Lufthansa diverted the incomming flight so she waited two more hours. It took 15 hours of travel to get there and then they lost her luggage. She gets to the hotel and they had her reservation messed up so it takes another hour to get the correct room. All of the shampoo etc are in her luggage since you cannot carry it on the plane what a terrible day. I cannot do anything to help all I can do is wait to hear what is happening next it is an uncomfortable desperate feeling.
i think amsterdam have drugstores and malls, do not worry grashopper, amsterdam citizens i think shower and wash their hair also.
You don't see a WTF in spawning hundreds of threads ?? Or using code found on places like codeproject.com in production applications ... Code that is most likely untested, or barely test, more often than not, not made by reputable developers/development groups/etc ?? .... Wow ...---WTF

Well, that will help with clothing purchases in Amsterdam.
