I think if I heard my computer scream, "Yeeee-haw!" I'd scamper out of the room and call an exorcist.

It would be funny. And let's not forgoet the startup sound should be a shotgun.

 And shutdown sound would be squealing tires fading off into the distance, heck, might as well add some more shotgun blasts too. :)

Hello Just crossed my mind! What would be your imagination of the perfect, I mean really perfect OS? Anything in your imagination!! I thought of it as a talking person like simulation, with real AI, and learning capabilities!! Yet when you think like that, you start asking, where would my files go?? How would I write a program for that OS?? Also, comes to me what happens in some movies like Matrix, iRobot, etc.. where AI begins to fight man!! Anyway, maybe I was drinking too much coffee tonight;P So? Any ideas?

          Regards:rose:

Doesn't have to be, but I don't think the strar trek stuff is the best example of a good GUI either (keep in mind I haven't watched it in years).

How about this: http://www.baen.com/library/0671698567/0671698567__18.htm[^] I won't quote it here... but search for the conversation with "Cindy Naismith" over her complaints on the user interface module....

I'd rather not have my OS second guess me because it thinks it's smart. I don't want to have to "retrain" it just because I decide to up and change my work habits, etc. I'd just rather it do what I tell it to do. With that being said, my perfect OS would have to be a RTOS, preemptive, fast, look nice, work better, cure cancer, eat strawberries, and have a locale that's set to fluent redneck.

I could not work with an OS which ate strawberries.
