Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. -- Revelation 13:18 Here is the puzzle: Somehow I knew that Google is the Beast that mentioned in the book of Revelation, let's see who is smart enough to be the fist to prove it.

I assume this is a light hearted maths quiz - you found a way to derive 666 from some aspect of Google, and that is the challenge. But, for me, it evokes memories of all the people my father has told me to be the beast over the years ( Ronald Reagan had 6 letters in each of his three names, Saddam Hussein, I forget the rationale, etc ). I'm not linking his behaviour to yours, but the attempts to REALLY find the 'beast' by the doomsayers of the day just gets up my nose. [edit] It has however, inspired me to put on some Iron Maiden. For it is a human number.... [/edit] -- modified at 18:15 Sunday 27th August, 2006

Um, most items with religious connotations tend to belong the SB.

If you are looking for hate, for fear, for all the death and destruction of revelations, or any other book you can bring forth. You can always find it. The real test of faith, is if you actually have any love left, or just fear and hate.

The Book of Reveleation is not all about hate and destruction! To me, it's a puzzle, an unsolved mystery waiting for me to solve. :)

Yeah, I also love the one about Visa cards... VI = 6 in roman numerials S = Stigma/Greek number for 6 A = Babylonian number for 6 "VISA, everywhere you want to be; even when you're burning in hell."

ROTFL - never heard that one. Good thing I use AMEX. The other one I remember was Dad playing me a tape in the late 80s that the new parliament being built at the time would never be used, as it was full of computers, and Australian satellites were spying on each individual in the country and recording our every move to those computers. Still, this is the man who saw War Games and thought my PC was going to end the world ( I had no modem ), and couldn't understand why I wouldn't ask my PC for the winning lotto numbers so we would be rich.

If I told you the "servant of evil" was green, would you blame Kermit? or someone who wore green? A puzzle is something that can be solved with the right information, useless is what is called something that provides enough information that you can find any coincidence you choose to direct your hate and fear, except in hindsight. It is definately not a puzzle.
