Indian IT is so boring man. They hire you and assign you some tasks, only those taska you have to do everyday, You are not allowed to do anything else. EVen if you are doing something in VC++, everyday you have to do specific tasks in particular range in VC++. So leave looking at java , dot net.. If they assign you for that group then think about it. ;( They make your windows of brains shut. Thats why very few products are built in India. Boring . Tell which company in india help in this regards. I can try for a job there.

It is not exactly like that. If you have been asigned some work then you are supposed to complete that at priority. Once you are done and are free then what ever research you want to do you are free to do that isn't?

Um. That sounds like most programmer jobs I had when I was younger. Given a spec, write the code, do the next bit. But that is what programming is. Maybe you aren't cut out for programming, maybe you need to look at moving up the ladder a little. Analysis and Design is where the fun bits of developing are.

Quit working for a software firm and take projects from rentacoder that way you can do different stuff or open a tea shop.

You feel everything goes monotonous?Why you have the weekends then?Try different things at home. Dont blame your office, they are paying you. Only you should create the intrest in your job. You feel everything goes monotonous?Why you have the weekends then?Try different things at home. Dont blame your office, they are paying you. Only you should create the intrest in your job. Imagine what it would be like to be grinding 150 pcs of some metal piece an hour, 8 hours a day at a workshop. Day in and day out. Now, *that* is a boring job! Think about it. It could be worse. :)

daily I spend 12 hrs in office. after that do you expect me to read at home too. I heard americans work like anything during weekdays and weekend they enjoy liek anything. So do you want to me to study at weekends too. My family will kick me out. I want learn while you earn job.

Yeah to be true, unless you are an extraodinary, you cannot do researches at home after returning from office or before going to office. We'd only use that time to take rest. but everyday I spend sometime reading books + a little browsing. The best way to do a research is to do it in the project you do at work! If you dont like the task you do at work, you need to transform yourself to be an extraordinary and start the research. You dont even need be become an extraordinary just a little more hard work would do.Btw, all these words are for Mr.Pathakr! :-D
