Toshiba laptop Vs. Acer laptop

I don't know much about Acer laptops, but I'm on second Toshiba in 13 years. It had a motherboard failure about 3 months after the warranty expired. They fixed it at no charge and no questions asked. Very nice customer service :)

IBM sold its PC division to a Chinese company, so even though the laptop bears IBM brand, it's actually not made by IBM. If I have to choose, I'd rather have the Toshiba over IBM one. You can install Windows on MacBook or MacBook Pro. Check it out on apple.com

Toshiba laptops are considered more expensive. Acer laptops are considered poor in heat dissipation.

I've had an Acer Travelmate 8006LMi for two years now, and I'm pretty happy with it. I'm very likely to buy another Acer when this one expires (laptops rarely last far past 3 years for me) or outlives its usefulness.

I have a lenovo (formarly IBM) with duo processor, so far so good, they say lenovo has very good global customer care support, well havent tested it yet.
