Yeah, well basically VC++ Express is only good for C++/CLI and vanilla C++. Anyway, I hope you feel better now. It's good to vent :)
Well, i probably didn't read the page very well, but i came away with "no mfc or atl, but win32 is ok". my app is plain win32 api, but ya kinda need a resource editor to put a ui up... And yes, I feel much better now :-O

If you search on the web, I'm sure you can find free resources editors. I did that and that works fine. But I don't remember the link anymore. It was called ResEd but I couldn't find it anymore :~ .

If you'd asked before you started, we could have told you. ;P Jokes aside, the lack of a resource editor has been well discussed on the WTL Yahoo Group. As another poster says, one way around it is to use a third party resource editor. Good luck!

Thanks so much for laughing at my pain :) but I'm just goin back to ole Visual Studio.net 2001 (or somewhere circa then - think i got it in 2002 from a MS friend on the cheap - enterprise edition) It ain't hip and cool, but, eh, it works and it's paid for... ...Steve
