Should the leader go down with the ship? I think so. But, you're missing the point. All day long I see people here (mostly dems I should say) bitching about Bush, Bush, Bush. Tell me, just what do you think will make sure something like this will never happen again? If you only blame Bush, you ain't getting it. Also, the president isn't God, there are checks and balances. He just made the call over some screw ups apparently. Only replacing him and only blaming him still leaves the door wide open for those screw ups to repeat.

Truthfully, I blame Congress more than Bush. They abrogated their constitutional authority to declare war and now go around whining "we didn't know he was planning to invade Iraq". What did they think? He was joking?

I see your point on this, and perhaps I should've worded that better. It's not like the guy is Hitler. He's trying to do what he thinks is right. If people don't agree, they are welcome to do the same; he'll be out in 2008. He made a choice and is sticking by that. Was it a bad choice, that's what's open for debate. But, I'd rather a president not afraid to act because when the time comes he won't be afraid to act again when protecting this country. But, my real point is, I don't see how somebody can spend all their days bitching about someone else's work/decision. If you care that much, then why not go make a change yourself? What is bitching for years on end gonna solve? This goes both ways btw. I just kinda piggybacked on Ed's thread. I'm getting good at that actually. :laugh:

How do you figure that. Being a millionaire is pretty much a prerequisite for being president. GWB is a millionaire (born that way), so he cleared the first hurdle by default. That's quite an acheivement. Way to go George!

In the point that not all millionaires are president or trying to be. Which suggest it's not a simple jump just because you have money. You make it sound like it's a little hop, skip, and a jump away after you make the moola; it's not.

Ed, that's not my point. You want to blame him, then fine. But you're stopping short at where the blaim should go. Pinning just Bush into the corner won't solve the issue that caused what happened.
