Vegas sucks. Take a helicopter to the grand canyon, and spend the rest of the time in your room.

No, I walked the strip until 2 am, I gambled ( I won, in fact ) and I looked around. I just didn't think much of it.

I'm going to Vegas for work the next 4 days. Besides gambling and golf, does anyone have any must-see suggestions?

Don't know if it would be a must see, but the LA Dodgers have a minor league team there if you follow baseball.

I'd like to help but I don't feel like Googling it for you.

I live in Las Vegas. If you are interested in going to the clubs then Pure(Caesars Palace), TAO (Venetian), and Light(Bellagio) are your best bets. Rain(Palms Casino) is also good. Have Fun!!

Go see Celine Dion. Maybe she`ll sign to stay in Vegas for a few more years if she keeps selling out and postpone her homecoming... We really don't miss her! :->

No. Red Rock, though interesting, pales in comparison to Valley of Fire. A photograph[^] I shot some years back using an old RB67 in the Valley of Fire.

My husband visited the Stratosphere and liked that although he was too chickensh*t to do the roller coaster thing. He like the free show at Treasure Island. He stayed at the Mirage and they had a tiger and dolphins in the hotel. he collected the hooker cards for me but forgot them in his hotel room. :) :badger:

If you have a car there, get out of town and drive. There are some pretty good sites if you get up in the mountains, or head towards the Hoover Dam. The fountains in front of the Bellagio are pretty cool. Getting a drink in the casinos is waaay harder than it should be. Actually, the insides of the casinos were pretty much a complete disappointment for me... But they look cool from the outside, so walking the strip is fun. The Stratosphere didn't impress me, but then, the rides were shut down because of weather, so YMMV.

I haven't gone to Vegas in years, so I don't know if these things are still there, but here goes: 1. Bungee jumping at Circus-Circus 2. The indoor skydiving place (I think it's pretty near the strip) 3. The view from high up in the Luxor pyramid (ok, this one is definitely still there ;))

I hate Vegas because I don't gamble and the smoke everywhere makes me ill. But it's the only place where you can see some of the great Cirque du Soleil shows.

Helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon. Absolutely incredible. The Stratosphere is actually quite cool. Avoid the x-treme ride and go on the slingshot one. The Belagio fountains entertained me for a bit but don't go too far out of your way for it. The TAO night club is fun enough. Here is what I thought of Vegas[^]. Seriously though. Save up and get that helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon.

Write this one off. My girlfriend and I were there in January (on our yearly pilgrimage) and it was closed for good. Too bad, too; I really liked standing in the CC parking garage and watching to see who would drop so low they'd hit the water in the pool below.
