So what your saying is that if there are perspectives out there that you believe threaten you then you'll bnlow them up?

Wouldn't you? If you're walking home from the theater with your wife in a dark alley way, and someone holding the perspective that rape is kind of an OK thing to do jumps out from the shadows with a knife, and you happen to have superior firepower in the form of a handgun...Will you accept his perspective and offer him your wife?

Are there any other ways of dealing with such perspectives, or are missiles the only answer?

We deal in differing perspectives all the time without missles. Look at China or North Korea, for example. However, Islamofascism's perspective is particularly violent and aggresive, making missles warranted.

Ægidius Ahenobarbus Julius Agricola de Hammo wrote:

Do you feel that launching missiles at things you feel threatened by can sometimes be counter productive?

Sure. For example if we launch missles at France, I can't have any more Dom Perignon. So in the interest of protecting Dom, we don't bomb France.

How many missiles has your country fired at Islamofascism recently? Just how do you bomb a political dogma?

Yeah but I'm finding Rob a little hard to believe. It's a bit like a poster who replies to a post to say how boring it is. They are quite obviously full of sh$te. Hell, this is crap, let's talk about Muslims.

There's nothing worse than someone who sees things from their own perspective. Why can't they see things from mine. I'm intelligent and went to a proper school, what's the problem? Looking at things in different ways from different angles and weighing them up in a nbalanced way is the sort of liberal and downright dangerous bullshit that lead to the US national strategic interest being compromised. Next time one of thise liberal commie muslim mother f&&&Ckers looks at something frolm his own god damned perspective he's going to get a big fat missile comming straight at his face from the perspective of the good ole YOU ESS OF AY. God mother F&^%$king damn it felt good to get that off of my chest!

All of which share the desire to destroy western civilization. WWII was a battle against Naziism, so in effect it too was a battle against a dogma.

The problem is that you really don't want others to see things from your own perspective. You want others to accept your own perspective as valid. I'm perfectly capable of seeing things from other perspectives. However, when that other perspective contradicts my own desires, then I will reject it. If that perspective directly threatens the security of my country, then I will support the launching of big fat misslies to protect my perspective.

I obviously consider all perspectives that differ from my own to be wrong. If I thought a contrary perspective to be right, then I would adopt it as my own. Actually, e, as I've stated many times, I don't give a rat's ass whether or not you think my perspective -- or any perspective, for that matter -- is "right", nor would I ever expect you to. Given your inability to distinguish between "right" and "valid" in subjective matters, or to even acknowledge that some matters are subjective, as well as your inability to argue your points without resorting to misdirection, deliberate misinterpretation, and sophistry, I pity the person who holds any hope that they could, with anything short of a power-drill and a turkey baster, inject anything new into that hermetically sealed little mind of yours.

What makes you think I'm left wing? I was taking issue with youre statement that you wanted to launch missiles at people withy a particular perspective. Re reading you paragraph it's quyite amazing how you slate 'leftists' for saying the war on terror is a war against a dogma and then claim that WW2 was a war against a dogma. Do you want to launch missiles at Ismaofascism, or just certain groups. It seems to me that to wind a war you've got to have a clear Idea of who or waht you enemy is. Your idea seems to change with every sentence you write.

No I think we should treat people's cultures and means of expression with respect. I'm perfectly happy to put up with Mike Hunt and I'd ask you to put up with Ægidius Ahenobarbus Julius Agricola de Hammo. If you can't find fault with my dazzling debating skills then don't launch attackls on my name family or other personal details.

Your frustration in my unwillingness to accept your clearly flawed perspective as "right" is really pretty funny to watch.

Vincent you are so right. Espeir does not understand the meaning of the word perspective. How can one argue with someone who lacks the intellectual capacity to even understand that the idea that it is obvious that only one perspective can be right is ludicrous. Espeir, if your reading this take a look out of your window and have a little think.

Farmer Giles was fat and enjoyed a slow, comfortable life. Then one day a giant blundered on to his land. Farmer Giles managed to scare him away and instantly became a hero. So it was natural that when the dragon Chrysophylax visited the area, it was Farmer Giles who was to do battle with it.

that would be shiite. I propose this as the new, improved spelling for SHIT.

I don't actually understand what you mean. I know that my name takes two lines, why does that make the thread double spaced? Forgive my ignorance, or maybe my browser.

"Mike Hunt" is really a sock puppet that i made as a joke. I intended the name to sound like that.
