Now I would like to use this button (login) as to navicate to some other page (main.aspx ) after clicking it. Can somone please tell me the function that I should write in the codebehind page (*.aspx.cs) for doing as above................

      You can't. You're using HTML, not server controls, so there's no postback and no event being generated for the code behind. You can do it all on the client, or you can change it to use server controls.
