I agree. Far too obvious. Whoever it is needs to learn to be more subtle and slowly build up to the payoff.

I'm ashamed to say we have some production QBasic code. :^) Thankfully, I don't get anywhere near it. Except, for the roll-your-own IDE someone wrote in VB6 that I'll be inheriting in a month or so. Woe is me. :((
