No I'm a coder who farms for fun. We have a few sheep and about twenty Devons. Beautiful animals although we are just about to send quite a few off.

Are you saying that it is absolutely impossible for a homosexual to ever want to change? If it turns out to be a simple hormone treatment or some kind of complex gene therapy why not give those who wish to have it access to it? If a parent found out that their child carried a gene predisposing them to homosexuality, why should they not have any possible treatments for it made available to them? I don't see the harm in that. To do otherwise would be to bend science to your political agenda.

      Thank God for disproportional force.

I think I'm like most straight 'liberals', open and accepting about homosexuals but praying that my children aren't.

No, the point is that sheep ( I am told ) are the only animals that are *gay*. Lots of animals 'practice', that's what I meant by 'prison sex', gay sex because there are no chicks about. But, some sheep will ignore the ewes even if they are there. Or are you saying bulls do the same, that's not how I interpret the word 'practice'.

Which leads me neatly on to my new website concept. I can't seem to make much money from breeding and butchering my livestock so I'm wondering if there might be an opportunity for them as internet porn stars. The format would be basically the same as your average smut site but it would feature my farm animals instead of the usual suspects. The front page could have a picture of a nice friesian heiffer, discretely made modest by a carefully positioned hedge and a big button labelled "see me naked inside". The possibilities are endless and there are as far as I know no legal; restricions on the graphic and explicit depiction of farm animals of any species, breed, age and from any angle in any country. I've thought of the following categories: Outdoor sex scenes Udders to die for Young bulling heifers ready and willing to please Bull on bull cow on cow Under 30 months Inter breed Inter species Reader's ewes All I need is the web hosting company a desingner and someone to sort out the e commerce.

Well Devon's got all over the place bu they originate from Devon. They've got a load in your neck of the woods as well as in the States. they thrive in hot countries, although here it is wet and cold. Fairly small, stocky and dark red. Very good beef.

Whatever the sexual preference of individuals it is their business, not mine or anybody elses. I find it difficult to justify why science would want to establish any psychological reasons for this. I feel that science should not poke around with things that is none of it's business. You call it a cruel situation, I suspect that many would disagree as they may be very content with their situation. Anyhow, as I recall Freud had something to say about homosexualality.

Of course you are. You want a grandson/daughter. There is nothing wrong with that, it's just "natural human selfishness".

Well I suppose you'd get a few total perverts, but mainly I guess you would dress it up with all sorts of hype, get their credit card number and then hope they would be too embaressed to ask for their money back when they realised they had paid to view a dog and a cat on a sofa. Is that immoral? Not what the dog and the cat get up to, but the business practice?

Cool - they are meat cows ? Do you milk them as well ? I would also love a milking cow. I am growing tons of berries, I'd love to have berries and cream, and know that I made all of it on the property.

So you sell them ? We just grow enough meat to fill our freezer, and buy the odd cow ( as in, we know a farmer, we go pick one, and he takes it to the butcher, we pick up the meat ) when we get sick of lamb. But, sheep are so cheap, there's no point in selling them. To be honest, there's no way I save money from having my own sheep.

Well, it's been a long time since I lived out in the bush. I can't recall if the young bull's (they were 1 year old calves - teens basically) walked by their own, or if they walked among young cows. I do remember that the farmer used to partition the herd into milk cows and !milk cows (for reasons unknown to me). All I remember was two "cows" copulating, and the one beneath had only one nipple... :-D

Devons are just used for beef nowadays but used to be tripple purpose. Beef, dairy and draft. They are one of the oldest British Breeds. We get someone in to kill our lambs each year in a shed on the farm. The ewes are relared to the ram so we don't like to keep them. This year I'm thinking of killing a young 18 month old steer raised just on grass. I reckon that will be about the finest beef you could get. I will roast a full sirloin joint for a traditional Christmas dinner!
