I'm dead tired right now. It's 1am and im waiting for the other Sys Admins to arrive. SQL server just packed up and 2 servers just choked on some new guys "Fantastic Software". He is so fired. anyway i'm bored right now because i can't for the life of me get the servers back up and Databases arnt something i'm gonna touch. Back to my point. I Propose a Project for the members of CP. Like not just a cute application. Maybe a new plugin to force standards on browsers, a security program, a program that detects sh**ty programmers that you can NEVER trust on your servers without someone there holding their hand, (Oh wait, that's my job). Anyway what do people think. And dont think im being rube if i dont reply. The Admins might be here any minute.......... I Hope they bring Coffee. Brad Australian Have you tried Rebooting it?

Its called .Net isnt it? (AKA Java, with bad pointer checking)

Truth is the subjection of reality to an individuals perception

We tried cat herding several months ago and AFAIK none of the projects took off. I propose you start an interesting project and just start roping people in. Only way it is going to fly.

You should try and sells those two domains, they are pretty good.

Thank god failure doesn't discourage people eh :) (Otherwise we wouldn't have the many successful OS projects is the point I am trying to make.)

Not to discourage you. It has been attempted before, and all of them failed. I could not keep promises I made because I underestimated the effort it needed. I also underestimated the amount of time I was spending at work. The experience made me think twice before making commitments. Thomas

hell yeah, just make sure they never heard of CP, and scan your code for tidbits from CP. if they have, say bu-bye.

You don't see a WTF in spawning hundreds of threads ?? Or using code found on places like codeproject.com in production applications ... Code that is most likely untested, or barely test, more often than not, not made by reputable developers/development groups/etc ?? .... Wow ...---WTF

Not even close Paul. I'm just up he road from him. All he needs to do is keep a carton of Coopers Sparkling Ale or Coopers Special Old Stout on ice and call me whenever he has a problem. I will come straight over from the pub (or home if I'm not working), punch fuck out of the offending knobhead who thinks he knows what he's doing and all will be good in the world.

Bloody Seuth Effrikens, can't understand their own accent then get confused and upset when they can't understand something as cultured as an Aussie accent. Your suggestion of a new project is a bloody waste of time. If he keeps a carton of suitable good quality beer on hand, I will arrive after a quick phone call to punch fuck out of offending moronic programmers to allow said Aussie computer guy to get on with his life. Like my sentence structure or logic was that hard to follow, even for a Japie.
