After all the pain, the delays, the embarrasment, the back pedalling, the removal of features and now the almost pleading "it's nearly done! It's neeearly done!" we have: Clearification[^]. A "viral" marketing campaign that's just awful. I'd hazard a guess it's from the same whacky, zany guys who did the comingzune site because: it's a little creepy; it has nothing to do with anything; it's not in the least engaging, exciting or even vaguely interesting; and it leaves one feeling slightly drained and depressed and just wanting to get the whole experience out of your head. Zune for me will always be creepy old men playing with rabbits. Vista is now a guy who looks like the kid on the Apple commercials talking about stepping on gum and sounding like he's run out of Prozac. Is this some weird self-fulfilling masocistic thing where they actually want their products to be received poorly? Everyone, group hug for Microsoft. They are clearly depressed and have no sparkle, no zest for anything happy or positive. Let's all give Microsoft a little hug to get them all chirpy again. And maybe a fresh packet of Prozac.

    cheers, Chris Maunder

      • Flash. Damnit!
      • Bugs Bunny got kicked out of his hole by a Unicorn-Raccoon?
      • Is that the kid from The Daily Show?
      • He sure does talk a lot.
      • I wonder if he has anything good in that bag. I could use something good right about now.
      • *click "Partake"*
      • Ish. It's that damn Unicorn-Raccoon again. Now he's on a skateboard. And that kid is still talking.

Well, they do have "Expression Interactive Designer"... But i'll admit, "Sometimes I doubt your commitment to Expression Interactive Designer Motion" just doesn't have that ring to it...

That kid reminded me of Demetri Martin[^], and lo and behold there's a clearification link on that page.

Do you think that this guy will *transform* into the cool dude in the Apple ad "I am a Mac, and I am a PC"? I feel they are laying a platform to take on the Apple ads, if this is indeed made by Microsoft. Thomas

Guy: I just had a brain fart, it was a silent but deadly one. Me: *clicks Close button* It's not even a good viral video. The whole point of viral videos is people think they're real, not an ad, so the URL gets passed around more. But there's a "Windows Vista" logo plain as day in the corner. :sigh:

Dude! That's the funniest thing I've ever seen. Don't you get it? Well guess not... It's Microsoft playing the Vista Violin the way we've all received it. I feel like you get this and your whole post is rhetoric but I still think it's the funniest thing I've seen. But ... if we took a vote here there's no doubt that 100% of the votes would think I have a sense of humor that is definitely unique to me. Anyway, the video totally fits Vista to me. It's full of *NOTHING* there's nothing to it but it *is* NEW. Totally Hilarious!!! I think they way deserve a mark for being able to mock themselves on this one and really they stepped in a big pile of "uh... it was kind of soft". Seriously though it's a perfect parody of themselves. Well anyway, I thought it was funny. Chris! Lighten up! We know you hate your laptop. It's cool though I mean it's 64 bit right?:-D

I stepped in some gum earlier today but it didn't really matter because it was still in the pack. When you step in dog poop it's kind of a weird sensation... Did I mention webisode? It's like episode but we took the p out and put a b in and added a w to make people understand they are on the internet. - Brain Fart

That one has to be the worst of all the viral videos from Microsoft I have seen. I think Microsoft is going crazy by giving away all its software and wasting money on junk advertisements. They could be going bankrupt and they are just destroying them selves on purpose because there is no hope for them.
