              Hmm, Google's tactics of buying up competition and paying vendors to make them the default search provider sounds vaguely familiar[^]...

                It's not a very good article. Stocks (which is how Google paid for YouTube) is different to hard cash. And Google didn't buy MySpace. They paid to be the search engine for MySpace. Rupert Murdoch bought MySpace for $508mil.
