I just got one of these[^] :). It has the ultimate geek features: An LCD screen and a web browser. On a piano ;). Oh and USB ports (host and device) and a SmartMedia card reader. Oh and optical digital audio output too. Lots of really nice features, in fact. I've been saving for about 18 months, so it's nice to finally get hold of it. Needless to say, I'm going to be playing an awful lot of music in the forseeable future :) The quality of the sound is awesome, but for $6k, I'd kinda expect that. And it certainly feels as good as the best grand pianos I've ever played, which is unusual for an electric piano, but very refreshing (somewhat cheaper too!). I shall have lots and lots and lots and lots and (well, you get the idea) of fun

Cool. I've had one of these[^] since 1997. Doesn't have any of that fancy USB stuff... but I did make my own cable to connect it to my computer serial port!

A bit out of my price range, but it would go well with my toy from earlier in the year: http://www.tascam.com/Products/dp01fx.html[^] :)

I've been playing for just under 20 years now (:omg: 2 decades?? and I'm only 26), so I really, really enjoy it, as I can play pretty much anything I feel like, given enough practice.

Looks good :). I used to play a Technics SX-PR602, which was similar, but I had to give that back when I moved churches ;). It was nice too, but didn't feel quite so good. The sound was brilliant though.

 Nice! Not a bad price too. I used to use an old Tascam which could record to cassette tape () and only had four inputs. Since I've only got the one instrument, it's a bit of an overkill for me ;)

I have one too, now gathering dust. You are welcome to it, that would give you an eight track right?

:omg: completely untrue!!! You can play backup to yourself by re-recording. And teach yourself to play with a group by recording and trying to play along with it (where I am now). 24 inputs would be overkill, but 8 is just right. ;)

Well, the piano has multi-track recording on it, so that's taken care of. And I play with groups all the time; have done for about 10 years, so that's not an issue either :) The piano can record up to 16 tracks, and can record them one at a time for doing compositions. I use this quite a bit when I'm composing or just experimenting :)
