Remember the guy that stole a tank from an Army depot (I think) in San Diego? Drove it up the highway (163?) until he broke a tread running into the cement barrier. He died, BTW--either he shot himself or the cops shot him, don't remember which. Marc

It was suicide by police... steal the tank knowing that is the only way they will truly stop you.

I was living in san diego when that happened. The cops shot him after he got high-centered on a concrete highway divider on Highway 5.

I have to disagree. If the moron didn't get stuck by not knowing what he was doing the police had no way to stop him from entering the downtown area and inflicting massive damage and casualties by driving over occupied vehicles. For that matter, if he knew what he was doing the concrete barrior wouldn't've stopped him from crossing into opposing traffic to begin killing on the highway itself. Once he got stuck he had almost as little chance of surrendering as as cop killer but only his stupidity gave the cops the opportunity in the first place.

The police got the top hatch open, when they asked him to surrender he didn't listen and kept on trying to dislodge the tank, the officer on top of the hatch then shot him.

The police shot him - before one of the cars he flattened had someone in it. I feel for the police caught in that situation.

                The tigress is here :-D

At school, I'm making an XQuery interpreter in Java. Also, taking a crash course in OCaml, Python, Prolog, and other eccentric languages. (The last OCaml assignment was pretty darn cool[^]. We had to write an implementation of OCaml in OCaml. Which was difficult...but incredibly fun and interesting.) At work, I'm working on ADAM (Active Directory Application Mode) and getting our production system's Name and Address File (which sucks) into it, so we can have a clean, hierarchical, well-organized, easy to maintain customer/employee database. :)
