It was probably around then that I started to set my sights on working for a local company called Dytech, so I was teaching myself COM at home ( knowing that they used it a lot ), and waiting for them to run an ad.

Camped out in a hospital 18x7x180 hoping to keep my kid alive. (Not quite yet but in one month and 5 days it will have been 5 years and she will be 5 years old.) We're going to have one righteous party to celebrate the life that is in that child. Funny this question would come up. My wife today just asked me what we should do for the big 05 for the tiny little rat. Then tonight the tiny little rat points at all the scars on her stomach and asks me what each one was for... What a ride... My gosh...:)

Wow. I don't know if to congratulate you, bless you or what. I'm sure that had to be hell for your family. I'm really glad of the outcome. Is she doing well overall now or does she have long term problems? (If you don't mind me asking...)

Sorry to hear about your dad. I lost mine in 1998. I kind of feel the same way in that I feel proud--like if he we're looking down I know he'd approve. It's funny how we want that even after our parents pass.

Its one of those weird things. In theory every day is an anniversary of that event, even every moment is, but its only because of our calendar and our fixation on the base 10 number system that today has any real significance. I'll be going out to dinner tonight with my lovely girl friend and my mother to mark the occasion My dad had more infulence on the person I am today than anyone else has or ever will and I have to laugh at myself occasionally because I see so much of him in myself.

exactly 5 years ago today, I started my divorce. five years ago last week, I was dying without hope, with a wife overjoyed to play the widow, worrying only about getting the life insurance and thankful it would pay off her debt. Five years ago, I started living again, my fever broke, they upgraded my medical status, and there was a slim chance I would live. Five years ago this week, I started living again, or perhaps, I started living for the first time. :)

exactly 5 years ago today, I started my divorce. five years ago last week, I was dying without hope, with a wife overjoyed to play the widow, worrying only about getting the life insurance and thankful it would pay off her debt. Five years ago, I started living again, my fever broke, they upgraded my medical status, and there was a slim chance I would live. Five years ago this week, I started living again, or perhaps, I started living for the first time. :)

I was in 1st year of my PG course(M.C.A) and was finding ways to escape from being ragged by my seniors.
