Authorisation???

Right now I am battling with about 5 authorisation prompts every time i try and view a page, then it doesn't render properly.... May I start by asking what the hell is happening? What, it looks like a half update.

Yeah, I'm getting that too Looks like it happens for some of the images - is there an odd load balancing issue going on, with one of the servers misbehaving?

This is really weird, I havnt seen this sort of error before, somtimes it half lets me through, outhers it just boots me.....

amen, brothers. but it stopped after about 5 pages

That's because of load balancing - there isn't a single web server, but a cluster, which get picked at random each time a file from www.codeproject.com is requested - one server in that cluster was misbehaving, so all requests that randomly get served by that server gave the authorisation request. If you kept reloading, sometimes it refused to serve the asp page itself All seems to be working again now, though

I kind of guessed it was a cluster server set up. What i am referring to is the fact that it suddenly decided to ask for authorisation, Chris what have you been doing to that poor defenseless server for it to suddenly get so defensive.

I learned that 95% of the stability problems on CP are ad-related when I started to use AdBlock on FF...
