What do you think about China ?

I born in China. And I live in China for 20 years and more. I love this country, and I love the greate people in this country, but I hate the ruler, and I hate the government. It tells you that it's a democracy country, as a mater of fact, it is an autarchy country. The government is very very corrupt. Citizens in this country have no free speech. The media never report the facts. It stands the profits of the ruler and dusts the eyes of its citizens. In this country, citizens can NOT afford their children's education fees. Citizens have no money to see the doctor, because the fees are too high to afford. And citizens can NOT afford enough money to buy a house which can only live for 70 years. Citizens in this country can NOT move from one place to another freely. If you want to move to another place, you should support some certifications. For example, citizens who are not in Shenzhen want to go to that place, you should buy a certification. Besides those I mentioned, there are many many things which make you feels as if you live in hell but in fact you live in China.:mad: :((

I don't know what to say. I can understand how you feel, and I can only hope things get better. As been said already, governments do change and your ruler won't be in power forever.

Thank you. But I think most of citizens in China can nerver live better if they are ruled by the current Party. Because in China, many many things which are solved NOT by your abilities but your relations. The "relations" makes things in China are very unfair. And the "relations" make some people become very rich and make other people become very poor.

I don't know what to say. There's a whole big world at there you can go to for a different life, but I do realize there's always home and you can never quite replace it. I hope they do treat tourists ok because China is on my list of places to visit before I die. :-D

It was the same thing in Romania when we were communists but we had a revolution :) I know things are not the same, but heads up. Things will work out sooner or later!

I was there for a project a couple of years ago. Since I was working, I didn't get the chance to visit Beijing or other city. I was in a little town near Shanghai (or so I was told). The people are really beautiful, while walking in this town some people chased me because it was obvious I was a foreigner, and they told me things that -of course- i didn't understand until I became friend of a 20 year old girl who spoke english and began to translate me what they were saying. The food was a really weird thing. I'm used to spicy food with meat, cheese and lemons, definitely non-healthy. But I was delighted with the country, and I'm making all my efforts to go back for the Olympic Games in 2008.

History tells us USSR used to be the same in the past, but now things are changing in Russia. No doubt China is a great country but if what you said is correct things must change. No system lasts forever so the current ruling system will definitely change in China.

I know that there is a lot of corruption and organised crime. I also know that 100000's of people have come here to Australia from China looking for a better life and have contributed a lot to our country. I just wish you would leave your MSG at home :)

Thank you very much. I found that people who reply my question have a very positive attitude against life, which makes me realize that I should work hard and have less complaint. Complaint brings me nothing but annoyance. From today on, I will keep working harder and try my best to change my life, change my fate.

That's right. MSG in Chinese we say "味精" as a kind of seasoning in Chinese cooking. Many Chinese people like it and are used to it. I just eat it a little, much MSG makes dishes taste sweet.

It looks pretty cool to me on TV and there are many admirable things about China. From what I understand though there are so many rapid social changes going on there right now that there is a lot of turmoil and people are not comfortable with change for the most part, particularly rapid change.

I can only hope the economic changes help to open things up and increase personal freedoms because increased conrtact with the rest of the world is required. As to relations counting more then abilities, this is something the people have to change. Even if you makea very small change in that, it is a change. Elaine :rose:
