Watched a lightning storm at sea From the coast, yes. From the sea, no. That's what the weather channel is for. Stayed up all night long, and watch the sun rise Many times. Seen the Northern Lights Never been that far north. Gone to a huge sports game More times than I can count. Walked the stairs to the top of the leaning Tower of Pisa No. I'm not sure that I want to either. Maybe it's just me, but that thing doesn't look entirely stable. Grown and eaten your own vegetables Yes, every year. Touched an iceberg Again, I've never been that far north. I'm not exactly fond of cold weather.

Qualified helmsman, quartermaster, and navigator, including underway refueling here. There's nothing like taking 8100 tons of metal from zero to thirty-two knots in less than 1000 feet. Nope, don't see Paris in that list. Watched a lightning storm at sea Lost count of the number I've seen them. Beats the heck out of the display on land. Funnel clouds are even more impressive. same here. Anything smaller than a turrantula I leave, they eat insects (nature's insecticides), but the turrantulas eat young birds, and I don't have any, so I put them out. Same with scorpions. Centipedes, I guess I am not so nice there....

Ever seen a satellite flashing through the sky? Yes, on the equator. It took a few minutes to work out what the flashes of light were. Met the person you will be with for the rest of your life? Yes and it was a big shock, having accepted being on my own. Ever walked through a spice garden? The smells compared with dry shop spices, it is like a your senses explode. Who needs drugs? Have you sat outside at midnight, reading a book by the light of the moon? Again, on the equator. I couldn't sleep one night so went outside and has to squint with the moonlight so thought I'd get the book. Have you had someone trust you with all their heart? Yes. PS Spiders are cute, I like them :-D

Graduated from high school. Started smoking. Started working as a programmer in my sophomore year of college. Got married. Graduated from college. Quit smoking. Had a daughter. Bought a house. Run two marathons, three half-marathons, and more 5K's and 10K's than I can remember. Bought a sports car. Ridden two 350 mile bicycle tours. Bought an old house. Wrecked a sports car (twice!). You know something? My list doesn't stack up to yours at all. The nice thing about middle age is: I don't care.

Yes, when I was 14. It was terrifying. You had to go outside about the third level, on the leaning side, shuffle a quarter of the way around and go back in to another staircase. No railing on the outside part, just slippery marble sloping towards the edge of a very, very long way down. Cheers, Drew.
