Despite all the trash talk about MS, it is an amazingly well run company.

And a lot of people want to go work for them. I read somewhere that they receive the maximum number of resumes of any USA company (IT related).

You're so right. Actually I am amazed at the number of ex-MS employees beating MS up, either to look good or to make money. Loyalty seems to be a rare quality, especially when the stock does not move too much, and the hype has all the lust somewhere else.

Loyalty is an often misunderstood concept when it comes to employers and employees.    You should only be expected to be a loyal to an employer as they are loyal to you.  It they can fire you or lay you off on a moments notice, you should be expected to leave them just the same.  If they want to get you to work for a little as possible instead of paying you what you are really worth, then you can expect to leave for greener pastures when they come along.  If they can say that your project was less than stellar, you can say that they (the company) were as well.    Remember that sometimes people are bitter are usually like that for good reason.  I would not assume that Loyalty is an issue here.    Peace!

I'd do the same if I had an issue (e.g I removed the window sticker advertising the car dealer from my car, as I'd had really bad service from them) My wardrobe is gradually filling up with promo games company T-shirts (and I'm yet to take home the nice Rayman one we got given the other week)

The only reason I haven't done the same is that my dealer's bribing me with free state inspection/emmissions tests, and a free oil change each year. The combined value of them is ~$80-100.

I did too. Why should the car dealer get free advertising? If they want to drop a few hundred off the car's price, I might not mind (leaving it intact).

Boy, I would hate to dig through all those ;) I would like to work at Microsoft as long as I did not have to go through those huge interviews and if Microsoft would move down here in Oregon where my family is located ;)
