        Hey guys, I've designed a nice homepage for myself and wanted to get myself a domain name. Well, I've decided that it;s got to be related to my name so i've got two options 1. I could go with something like mridang.com or hmm.... mridangagarwal.com or something like that 2. i could go and register mrida.ng ! What do you think of that? i came across this idea after seeing URLS like del.icio.us and blo.gs. I'm really confused as to which would be better.

        Avoid the latter. I can never re.mem.ber sites like that, especialy the ones that put two or three pe.rio.ds in their name. Unless your target au.die.nce is entirely Mac users or geeks, stick with propper domain names.

                    Not that I've seen... When I was installing it, I saw a message box pop up that said, "Let's just assume you have a keyboard and/or a mouse...".

                                  My rule of thumb for domain names is how easy is it to verbally communicate it to someone else so they can find it without seeing it in writing. (but of course my sites are all business ones where that's important)
