Awesome! For months they have been teasing us with the beta information. It is really very cool. Actually you cannot describe it, it is beyond cool.

Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it. -Brian Kernighan

I know. It's as though someone set out to write a tool for debugging web pages. And that person actually knew something about web pages! I've never seen anything like it before... :D

I installed it and played with in for a couple of minutes - it is cool :-) It lets you change a page's CSS live - I ended up with a very funny looking CP home page.

And yes, truly it does Rock! The extension that i am more attached to than any other single development tool i own Has, defying all laws of sanity and software, become Even Better. The new features are too numerous to mention. The eye candy will rot your teeth. The fact that you are still reading this, when i provided a link right at the top of this post makes me question your sanity - you want this more than you will ever know. But wait - there's more! Firebug Lite, a mini-console for Opera, Safari, and other, sadder, browsers. Because sometimes you need to test in them, and being completely without Firebug is a fate too horrible for words. You're still reading?! You missed the link[^], didn't you. Look! Another one[^]! With Clickety[^]™ technology! Go! Improve Your Life!

It does. This will be a big help for my current project. Guess it's time to make Firefox my default browser for launching web-sites from VS2005.

After using it for some more time, I will say that it impossible for some one to develop a better web development tool. I can't foresee  any tool that can beat this. The scaling, the layout, net, profiling, name it and it has been implemented in a manner that is best suited.

:) Yes. To compare it to C++ dev, it takes web dev from printf() and DEBUG.EXE in DOS to VS2005 on Windows.

Is it supposed to be tasted? I thought it should rubbed on our body.

Venkman is more powerful. You can really do a lot with it. But it's also huge and slow and overkill for most debugging tasks. Firebug is small, fast, covers most common debugging tasks, and has a great UI - i've only used Venkman once since Firebug added breakpoints. Now that Firebug has a built-in profiler, i'm not sure what i'd bother opening Venkman for...
