The Australian guberment must do more for the war effort, Closing an institution such as this is a disgrace, why had nobody planned ahead and shipped in more workers ? Read all about it here [In case you don't realise my comments above are sarcasm] :-) Regardz Colin J Davies

Wimps, the lot of them. Any American bird would be good for a pair of dozen stands a night. Four hours' nap, and she'd be ready for another shift. Why not call into service the many underserviced wives in the area? It's clearly a matter of public duty; what husband could complain? It's for the common good, after all!

I must agree, I think though the operative words in your statemnet are "nuts". About the "uncomfortable" bit I must agree, somehow we have created a non natural prudish approach to sex and relationships. Daniel Ferguson wrote: Make love, not war. You are lucky that the South African Navy did not pull into port. They would have just gone around and raped the women they found in the streets. Cheers Mike Johannesburg, South Africa

Is the sex trade legal in Australia? That's quite fascinating. In Canada, we close down bars if they're even suspected to be a "common bawdy house".
