Which theme do you use in Windows, XP or Classic? Which color scheme do you use? Why do you use the one you use?

Aero with a dark-blue color to the glass. I was running Vista with the classic theme over the weekend and it was just... well, "odd" is the only way I can describe it. It wasn't bad-looking, more like out-of-place. Anachronistic, if you will.

I pretty much just use whatever comes out of the box, so XP. Except in the Control Panel, i switch that to Classic view.

When I'm using Windows XP I use the default blue theme. I have done for the last five years (or however long XP has been out for now). When I using Vista I use the default theme. I tried the various colours, but ended up back on the default. I use them because they work best for me, and I work best with them.

The blue theme is ok. I like the XPize theme better though, it looks more modern.

Classic. Default color scheme. Because it's reasonably fast and stays out of my way. I used to use Watercolor, but got tired of patching uxthemes, so now i just don't bother. And yeah, way to go MS, requiring binary patched system files for 3rd-party themes. I could understand, maybe, if the system-supplied theme wasn't so gaudy and useless... but this just screams "we don't have a plan! or a clue! or a UI designer who doesn't spend his days watching Tellytubbies!" :^)

Watercolor Lite, with Silver color theme. Thats the one that was planned for XP before MS came up with the bulky blue/silver/greeney_weird XP theme. Looks more or less like the old style win98, but..better. IMO.

Currently running Vista Aero which I like much better, but back in the day when I was on XP it was: http://www.themexp.org/preview.php?mid=377&name=OSXP+102+UPDATE.zip[^] :)

---- I just want you to be happy; That's my only little wish...

I always assumed it was the Eldrich purple horror myself.
