Hotel bookings...
-
.. slightly off topic from all of the new-year stuff, my Wife and I are hoping to get a better holiday in '07 (after work resulted in cancelling our Oct holiday at the last minute).. Does anyone know a good US/Canada based web-site that offers good value hotel bookings (generally, we've not opted for a destination yet). I'm hoping to take advantage of the exchange rate between the UK and US (none of the UK travel sites seem to have reduced their North American prices over the last year!) and yet each site I try seem to auto-detect I'm in the UK and offer all prices in GBP.
Regards, Ray

Try to change your browser's language setting to "English (US)" resp. "en-us". Usually works for me. The motivation for me is typically to get english MSDN pages instead of automatically translated german pages. X|

They can geo-target your IP. Not sure if these do: http://www.tripadvisor.com/[^] http://www.venere.com/[^]

You may want to try Hotels.com[^].
You might be more forgiving then me. Hotels.com was one of the newsmakers in 2006 for losing a bunch of financial data for their customers.
