          Has happened to me more than once... X| I now use this to sync bookmarks between work and home PC (firefox only) http://www.foxmarks.com/[^] Works as a backup too...

                That's why I created a NTFS junction to story my Firefox profile inside "My Documents". Only one folder to copy when I reinstall Windows (actually I do not even have to copy it because I don't store "My Documents" on C:), then recreate the junctions there. Also makes backups simple.

                  That's why I created a NTFS junction to story my Firefox profile inside "My Documents". Only one folder to copy when I reinstall Windows (actually I do not even have to copy it because I don't store "My Documents" on C:), then recreate the junctions there. Also makes backups simple.

                      Hear, hear! I'm at a point now where I can blow away my OS partition at any point in time and don't have to think about backing up anything--it's all stored elsewhere.
