Yep. Been there, though only on work PCs. I seem to remember it when I'm at home.

That's why I created a NTFS junction to story my Firefox profile inside "My Documents". Only one folder to copy when I reinstall Windows (actually I do not even have to copy it because I don't store "My Documents" on C:), then recreate the junctions there. Also makes backups simple.
