Ray, you boiled your pet fish? Wait on the kids for a little bit! Seriously, about kids, be careful. My wife kids growing up. Babysitting was not her favorite job. She has 11 children now, plus all the neighbors' kids  when the neighbors go shopping (I kid you not, they KNOW someone is always home). Still, cooking for fish? Well, I suppose locking our cat under the house for a week almost qualifies - 2 am and you hear this *weird* whining sound from the downstairs furnace... :) Addendum - my wife loves kids... as long as they are hers... :)

Charlie Gilley Will program for food... Whoever said children were cheaper by the dozen... lied. My son's PDA is an M249 SAW. My other son commutes in an M1A2 Abrams

I had to look up the meaning of that - aggressive . Were they Boys or Girls? The breeder I got mine from had about 5 adult cats (2 of which were of course my kitten's mum's) and they were all very affectionate. They're like kids - its the way you raise them, and although Im a first time pet owner I think im doing pretty well so far. My kittens certainly seem content. On a related note, and im sure its been said before, in my next life I ho[pe to be resurected as a Cat. Their life consists of; Sleeping, Cleaning,Playing, Eating. Pretty much in that order.

:omg: Sorry, I meant petulant (moved to or showing sudden, impatient irritation, esp. over some trifling annoyance) like a teenager.

For the moment, workload is a bit low, so here's a ridiculous question for you all: What pets do you have? What do they do that's funny? What's his/hers name, color, # of legs/paws, ...? We have a black hamster at home named Franklin, he tries to stick objects into his jaws that are bigger then he is... the funniest thing he does is hang upside down in his cage. I'm still wondering how he does it, because it's all full plastic except the top part (to open it), so he actually has to jump. Once we forgot to lock the cage and he managed to escape !! Occasionally he stands on top of his wheel, falling of when the starts to turn. The wonderous world of fauna :-)

I have big black and white long-haired cat. She hates being brushed so her hair gets matted, which of course makes her hate getting brushed even more. I've considered letting her get dreads. She doesn't really like too many people other than me and lately she's been testing my patience by crapping on the floor. About 12 inches to the right of the litterbox. Now that I think about, anyone want a cat? :~

No, not missing anything.. they were named when the were only days old and as yet, gender undetermined. The original names were: Larry, Darryl, Darryl and Bob And, if you are a fan of 'The Bob Newhart Show', the names make perfect sense; otherwise, chock it up to eccentricity. Now, we say Bob is short for Bobbie and Larry for Lawrencia.

                    - What pets do you have: Other than my computer? None - What do they do that's funny: There's nothing funny about my PC, it crashes... - What's his/hers name, color # of legs/paws: My computer doesn't have a name, it's black and last time I checked there were no legs. No seriously, I don't have a pet. However, I would like one, something like a fish. But I don't have the room for an aquarium right now, so that has to wait until I move out of this place.

Ooh, I finally think I have something interesting to reply about. We have five ferrets, two bearded dragon lizards, and one sugar glider. I grew up having dogs and cats, but my older son is allergic to cats and my younger son is allergic to dogs - go figure. They seem ok with the ferrets though. Ferrets are interesting enough, but two weeks ago when my whole family was sick, we found out ferrets can catch the flu. Try four sick family members and five sneezing and coughing ferrets for fun. One also got an ear infection, his balance was screwed up, and he kept falling over. Scott

I had a beagle in America: terribly hard to train but tons of fun, especially for my younger siblings.

Raphael - 10 yr. old male tiger cat. Fat and loves everyone. During the spring and summer he sits on our screened-in porch and yowls at the people walking by. If they come over, he rolls over on his back for them to rub his tummy. Gabriel - 10 yr. old male tiger cat. Much more dignified than Raphael. Does undercover work for the local police. Michael - 8 yr. old male cat. He was pretty feral when we took him in, and he still frightens easily. Has a strange fixation on my sister-in-law (who's nice looking, but the wrong species). Canada - 4 yr. old female cat. I'm the only person in the house she likes (no accounting for taste, I suppose). Phoenix - 1 yr. old male cockatiel. Can peel wallpaper with his morning screeching. Poe and Hawthorne - 6 month old female society finches. We know they're female because one of them laid four eggs a while back, and nothing hatched. My wife named before we had determined their gender. The bills from the psychotherapist are horrendous. Wendy - 5 month old dwarf rat. My daughter's pet. If you give her grapes or carrots, she'll be your best friend. Limited on conversation.
