For the moment, workload is a bit low, so here's a ridiculous question for you all: What pets do you have? What do they do that's funny? What's his/hers name, color, # of legs/paws, ...? We have a black hamster at home named Franklin, he tries to stick objects into his jaws that are bigger then he is... the funniest thing he does is hang upside down in his cage. I'm still wondering how he does it, because it's all full plastic except the top part (to open it), so he actually has to jump. Once we forgot to lock the cage and he managed to escape !! Occasionally he stands on top of his wheel, falling of when the starts to turn. The wonderous world of fauna :-)

I had a beagle in America: terribly hard to train but tons of fun, especially for my younger siblings.

Raphael - 10 yr. old male tiger cat. Fat and loves everyone. During the spring and summer he sits on our screened-in porch and yowls at the people walking by. If they come over, he rolls over on his back for them to rub his tummy. Gabriel - 10 yr. old male tiger cat. Much more dignified than Raphael. Does undercover work for the local police. Michael - 8 yr. old male cat. He was pretty feral when we took him in, and he still frightens easily. Has a strange fixation on my sister-in-law (who's nice looking, but the wrong species). Canada - 4 yr. old female cat. I'm the only person in the house she likes (no accounting for taste, I suppose). Phoenix - 1 yr. old male cockatiel. Can peel wallpaper with his morning screeching. Poe and Hawthorne - 6 month old female society finches. We know they're female because one of them laid four eggs a while back, and nothing hatched. My wife named before we had determined their gender. The bills from the psychotherapist are horrendous. Wendy - 5 month old dwarf rat. My daughter's pet. If you give her grapes or carrots, she'll be your best friend. Limited on conversation.

Reeses, 4 legs. Completely non-viscious. When a stranged enters she may bark ferouciously while backing up and peeing on the carpet. Tricks: Sit, Down, Play dead, roll over, speak, stay, shake, other hand (shakes with opposite hand), up (jumps up), down (gets off something), jump (jumps over something), go to your room (goes to her crate or room depending on location), get in the truck (jumps in truck), what did I tell you (repeat last command), heel, not so far (when walking of the leash and she goes to far), bow (back legs standing front paws laying), go get it (fetch), give it to me (bring something to me), drop it (release something in mouth) find your toy, give me x (certain items she likes), smell (present item for her to memorize), find (she tracks the item where hidden, some days up to half a mile), go get 'em (chases people), kill (jump on people playfully), and lastly go say hello (walks to someone) I think thats all but I don't really have the list written out.

Well, we have Tom & Jerry.. They can be quite the show at times :) http://www.rockymoore.com/RandomThoughts/archive/2006/03/06/684.aspx[^] They seem to shred everything in the house and there is hardly a place they do not get into. At least we have no mice in the house :) I think I have found insight into just how they think though: http://www.rockymoore.com/Humor/archive/2007/01/09/Dog_and_Cat_Diaries.aspx[^]

Nice Pythons! How big will they get (i.e. full-grown)? I used to keep snakes, but I've never had a Python yet.

Doesn't look like you have a command for the non-playful variation. ;P BTW that's one hell of a list! You just need a command for "stop barking ferouciously while backing up and peeing on the carpet" :)

Hi Ashley, The royal python grows to around 3 to 6 feet in length and the carpet python can get up to around 10 feet or more - which is impressive. He has kept snakes for years now, starting off with Garter snakes many years ago. regards Jonathan
