Gore Golf
-
A proposed revision to the rules of golf is being sought in South Florida which will replace the traditional call of "FORE". Once a player has hit an errant shot he will be allowed to call "GORE" while the ball is still in flight. He can then replace the ball in the same spot and hit it again. The player can do this until he is satisfied the ball is going where he intended to hit it in the first place. This will cause the time of play to be extended until such time the player can claim the hole. This revision is causing some consternation to the PGA but proponents say it is only fair. A recent test of this new rule was recently played out in an exclusive club in Palm Beach County Florida and the first hole only took 19 days to complete.

One of the golfers involved in said test, brother of the course's owner and friend of the head bartender was reported as saying, "This GORE rule is tricky. I much prefer my rule: the ball closest to the pin is mine. My rule eliminates all of the tedious work of accounting for balls, ensuring the balls were hit fairly, and that they were hit by people who are actually playing the game. My way is best. Some of the other players don't like it, but hey, it's my brother's course. If they don't like it, they can kiss my shiny metal ass. Oh, by the way, i won. And my brother and friend gave me a big party, with cake. "

Exactly what I was thinking... Oh yeah, and since my brother owns the course, and the head bartender(who is also the top PGA official, and dumber than a box, and drunk) is my bud, well then I say we also ignore any rulings that any of the other PGA officials say on the course.. Boy is this cake good!!! Or another analogy is: Bush and Gore are playing a 72 hole tournament. They finish the 72 holes with bush 1 stroke ahead. Course the official scorekeepers have no idea what either guy got on the first five holes(which seemed to go Gores way). So they don't count thanks to: a very messed up course, and Bush's brother, the course owner, and buddy, the drunk head bartender, deciding the course rules!!! It's official??!! Actually, what are we doing. We shouldn't dirty the great game of golf by comparing it to this hosed up election. Like anybody wants either of these jokers!!! B

Don't forget that the player is also allowed to call "BUSH" when he wants have someone to "correct" his score score card -- after all, if you don't fill it in correctly, it must be a BUSH hole. This rule makes sure that so long as your brother owns the golf course, you'll always win the game.
