Why do you Americans hate cricket

My friends asked me how I enjoyed my vacation and I told them that I watched and played as much cricket as I could. So their reply was "Cricket it is worse then watching wet paint dry". I donot get it. Cricket is more thrilling then any other gain invented by mankind. Watching Baseball or Football is not even half as thrilling or exciting as watching cricket. I think any impartial non American would agree with me on that.

I never played it and don't know much about it, so I really couldn't tell you if it's fun. People get accustomed and everyone has their own opinions. My favorite sports are Football (American, not Soccer) and Racquetball. Nowadays I mainly play Racquetball because you only need one other person for that. Jeremy L. I think cricket is more fun to play than watch unless its the highlights, where you skip all the time wasted between balls/overs. I can find it interesting. Most Americans don't have the patience for 30 second commercials and you expect them to be thrilled to watch a game that takes three days to complete? I've played Cricket and watch it occasionally. A saying one of my former employers had was "The intelligence necessary to play the game diminishes proportionaly to the size of the ball". He was talking about golf.

Rama, I've never seen cricket played. I know nothing of the rules. I don't hate it, i know nothing of it! Yeah, i could watch it on pay-per-view, but it is insanely expensive. :( If you want to write an article "Cricket for ignorant Americans", go right ahead :-D --------_**
