[Last.fm] This is easily the best internet radio station ever...

I'm currently listening to our Last.fm group[^] radio. I know it's been said before, but holy crap. This is some diverse music. I just got done listening to some Infected Mushroom[^] and now I'm listening to Black Sabbath (no surprise where that comes from ;)). Infected Mushroom is interesting. I'd have never even heard of them if it wasn't for this group. And while I wouldn't normally say that I like trance music, it was actually pretty good. If you haven't already, you should join. We've currently got 73 members, but we could always use more. :)
Cool, just joined, not big on Clarkston, but will give a listen. Maybe I am just code fried, but adding groops seems to be a bit of an interface challange, eh. The difficulty in selecting a group and lack of interface coherence makes me hard to truly dig this. Will play a bit as it seems cool.

Our group radio is all streamed from Last.fm, but it's a collection of everything that we listen to. It's really cool.
So if a member listens to a particular song, and if that song is available in Last.fm's list, everyone else can listen to that song through last.fm radio even if they do not own that song? If so, that is cool. I think I'll install it at home tonight :-)

Thanks for the link :-) I haven't had much success joining other CPian ventures. For instance, I joined Colin Angus' CP region (nation states) and my country is doing really bad; I am ranked pretty much at the bottom of the CP region. :-( Hopefully this fm thing would turn out to be a better experience :-)

Infected Mushroom has its "ups and downs". I generally dislike the non-trance like stuff they do. I think it's one of the voices I don't like.

 that album.
It's nice to find just plain old fun rock & roll again.

Yeah, it looks pretty, but whoever designed that user interface should be locked in a room and forced to use it. Not even remotely intuitive.

By the way.. I'm currently "injecting" Last Rites into the stats. If you can find anything by them, and you like music somewhere in between "regular rock" and metal, chances are that you might like it. I like the guy's really dark and almost whispering voice.

Glad to know I am not the only one with issues with the interface.

I joined, but somewhere along the line, after an update to the AudioScrobbler software, it no longer scrobbles any of my music. I've tried to remove and re-install it several times but all with no luck at getting it to scrobble. As good as it may be, it doesn't work everywhere.

I've just recently got this all working, so expect more obscure 80s metal to appear on the list. I listened to some Widowmaker and Wildside this morning, and I'm having an Angels fest as we speak

Yeah, I don't think I've listened to Sabbath recently, not on mp3 at least.

Sometimes the servers are choked. The songs you've played are then cached on your machine until the server accepts submissions again. In most plugins i've seen, it shows you current status in the plugin option dialog.

I've been running the plug in for winamp for a while and its interesting to see the stats of what I've been listening to. It would be very cool if it could get stats from my ipod when I connect it to the pc and upload those as I tend to use that a lot more than mp3's on my pc
System.IO.Path.IsPathRooted() does not behave as I would expect

That's a cool idea. You need to take my lead - play lots of Angels, Screaming Jets, Candy Harlots, Kings of the Sun, Rose Tattoo, etc. Let's get some Aussie music on this list.

Why is common sense not common? Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level where they are an expert. Sometimes it takes a lot of work to be lazy

I wasn't running my country as a dictator. Btw, what country are you running?
