So what are people meant to base the friendship on? Poor Programming skills? Tell people about yourself before yourequest friendship.

Maybe their understanding of Mandarin? You do read and write Mandarin, don't you. :~ Maybe to get to know people of a different culture? You do understand that not all people on the planet are of European ancestry, don't you. :~ Maybe to get over their notion that if someone doesn't know how to program that they have no worth as a friend? You do have friends in the broader definition of friendship that precludes knowledge of a programming language, don't you. :~ Their are many more reasons why people make friendships without being judgmental? Try it, you may just learn something about yourself as well as another person!

You have come to the right place to find a vast wealth of knowledge about all things C++ as well as many other things about how people think about things. All that is asked is that you ask questions about C++ programming in the C++ forum and not the lounge. Look under "Message Boards" in the top menu bar on the right and you will see all the place to ask programming questions.

Not a problem! You will find that most people here will not worry about proper English and will be happy to talk with you to try to find out what you think, not how well you express yourself in English. :-D

I'm sure it will become better after a while in this community. You will also copy other people's mistakes, but that does not really matter as lons as we understand you. :) Of course, the same will happen to your programming skills.

Would you like to explain what that means? It looks like "three fingers out of control" to me... ;)

It will take some time to become good at C++. Anyone who becomes good at it has worked hard to understand it. :sigh: Look for articles here and other places to do what you would like to learn about and try to understand what it takes to program how to do these things. After doing this for a while you will be able to program things on your own and need to look up only a few things. :-D

There will be many more foreign jobs in China in the future and also Chinese companies. Since the 1997 Asian economic crash, that brought down the "Five Tigers", China is now the most powerful economy in Asia. It will only become better for you in China in the future. You may have to move to Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai or Guangzhou to find work in a foreign company. Maybe Xian and Kunming in the future will also be good for business. :~

You must believe in yourself if you are going to succeed. Find something you like to do and work to become the best that you can be at it. You will succeed if you work at it.
