        Here's SUSE 10.2: http://developer.kde.org/~binner/vmware/[^]

This is a list of images of virtual machines: http://www.vmware.com/vmtn/appliances/directory/[^] I think the newest Ubuntu version is 2.6.19 - but you'd have to check for yourself. Use the search box at the top of the page to search for various linux distros.

Actually, I haven't seen a distro with 2.6.19 out of the box. But you can easily install for example Fedora Core 6 (which has 2.6.18) and then do a kernel update.

aarrghh :) ! tha latest ubuntu 6.10 ships only with 2.6.17 kernel. Its strange, seems that there are no vmwares for Linux distros with linux 2.6.19 or above kernel :(

Hey Rohde, I just checked that I have already a fedora 5 vmware, do you think it would be harder to perform the update from here ? So that I will not have to wait for downloading the fedora 6. thanks. -- modified at 12:40 Saturday 27th January, 2007
