Cool. I knew someone in my church, who got up to tell everyone how when he flew a plane, he lost control, and just let go of the stick and prayed.  An inspiration example of his faith, but he followed it up by offering joy rides to anyone willing to pay for the fuel.  erm.... no, thanks.

Most small aircraft are designed to right themselves if the controls are in a neutral position and there is enough power to stop the plane from stalling

System.IO.Path.IsPathRooted() does not behave as I would expect

Awesome! It was really windy today to boot but the instructor still said we could go up. After all he didn't want me to waste the trip :) Better than a roller coaster! To be honest I was more afraid on the runway after than landing than anything else. It really feels like your moving fast in those little planes.

Cool I was given a trial lesson for xmas a couple of years ago and loved it. By far the scariest part for me was driving the thing on the tarmac

Yeah, I am sure.  The point of the story is, he obviously was not ready to take other peoples lives into his hands.

There were no F ... wait, pg13 board. There were only two snakes on the plane and they weren't that big.

I was given a trial lesson once too. It felt so great in the air, and I felt proud of myself as we came down to land and I waved to my onlooking family. Then, as I was leaving the plane, my foot got caught in the steps and I fell head first onto the ground...

Hi, Congratulations with your first flight! I have had some 20 or so lessons in the past in a Chessna 172 until i ran out of money:) at that time so i had to give it up and didn't find time to start again but it's realy cool and beautifull making turns, keeping the plane leveld, doing aproaches on the circuit and when almost touching the ground giving full throthle to simmulate a problem on the runway that prevents landing, but most of all looking to the left below and see the land deep down their. I still have my instruction books and my headset and logbook, and i wonder how it is with the brown striped plane called PH-AWI, man those times were great!

With friendly greetings,:) Eric Goedhart Interbritt

Fair enough, you can afford to be afraid when you don't have avoid crashing. The main thing is you didn't bend the plane!

                        The tigress is here :-D

Congratulations on your flight, and welcome to the wonderful world of flying. My wife and I have been pilots for almost 10 years now and own a Piper Cherokee 180. I'm sure you will have as much enjoyment as we do over the years. There will be times during your training that it will seem like you'll never accomplish some task (crosswind landings, steep turns, whatever), but just be patient and stick with it - good luck. Remember, keep the airspeed UP and the dirty side DOWN!
