There's one from Whigfield? It's not rock though. It's more like girly pop.

If you've seen So I Married an Axe Murderer, is it the same song that is playing when Mike Meyers first goes to dinner at his parents' house? If so, then it's
Saturday Night - Ned's Atomic Dustbin
. Soundtrack[^] -- modified at 12:32 Friday 2nd February, 2007 [Looks at your date range] Uh, it's probably not the one I said. :~Jon Sagara Kittens give Morbo gas. -- Morbo Blog | Site | Articles

I was simply making a play on words in reference to the Governer of California's habit of referring to opponents as "girly men." :) This is a joke. This is only a joke. Were this an actual political statement, it would have been made in the Soapbox.

I would think that you're looking for Elton John's Saturday Night's Alright (For a Fighting), however this song was released in the 1973 album "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road[^]". You can try this[^] and tell us if that's what you're looking for.

No, not even close. In this song, Elton says the word Saturday, whereas in the song I am looking for, the word is spelled. I'd like to hear the Bay City Rollers' song because the lyrics look promising.

It's by the Bay City Rollers, I think the name of the song was Saturday but I'm unsure on that part. Can't believe I actually have bubble gum stuck in my brain...

:wtf: I thought everyone had seen it! I remember in high school I would play the soundtrack in my pickup. A couple friends and I would drive around singing at the top of our lungs to it. Every once in awhile I bring out the "Harriet" poem.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Now it's stuck in my head. And I've got a 3hr bike ride this morning and the whole way I'm going to be trying to not think of that damn song. Don't think about pink elephants, don't think about pink elephants... Maybe some really bad French Top 40 will cleanse my brain.
cheers, Chris Maunder
