you probably mean with three digits? 9^9^9 is the "obvious candidate", but I dimply remember some better. [edit]close, 9^(9^9). Unless, of course, you allow more symbols than superscript [/edit]

turn every potato into a small heap of mashed potato, add nutmeg. At least one child will reject by smell alone. distribute the five portions among the other five, and force them to eat it, then lick the plate clean. Just for good measure. -- modified at 14:23 Tuesday 6th February, 2007

With 3 *numbers*? Give me number n, as big as you wish. I'll give you bigger number, using only 3 numbers, e.g n+0+1

Since you said digits, I'm gonna use Base64 ones where / is 63 I think so I think it works out as: /^/^/ ~ 3.8250822775319002673123674426604e+7141 ;P

Plant one potatoe, wait awhile, get out two, give to six children. Though by then they are probably all dead from starvation so you get to keep the potatoes for yourself.

                                      • Since we can't use fractions, we'll have to use a knife to divide up the potatoes. This is fine though; knives cut through potatoes much faster than fractions do.
                                      • Eat one, then give a potato to each child.
                                      • Sit children in a row, give each a fork, then place potatoes between them. They'll work it out...
                                      • Sit children in a circle, and working clockwise, hand out potatoes. When you run out of potatoes, start handing out rocks. Then run away.

You could always just mash the potatoes.
