Quite old news but still very funny.

Brad Australian - Christian Graus on "Best books for VBscript" A big thick one, so you can whack yourself on the head with it.

What's really interesting is that when people want to find something to bash Vista with, they do. Just a few months ago they were saying how crappy the voice recognition was, now they're saying it's so good it's actually unsafe. Go figure. Oh! Just to be clear, I'm not saying you're bashing Vista, but the press "experts" sure are. ---

Very old, when you consider that MacOS has had voice recognition built in for years. Back when I was at university (10 years ago) a friend had a Mac - we had hours of fun standing outside his room and shouting "SHUT DOWN!" "YES!" Which would set his machine into an unstoppable shut-down (the YES countered the "Are you sure you want to shut down" dialog.) In the end, he turned on an extra option that required you to prefix every command with the computer's name (for which he picked a complex foreign word that we couldn't get our tongues around)

Just to be clear on my side too..bashing Vista is not my business, I just found it interesting. BTW holes exist everywhere and vista should not be an exception.:)

I think the voice rec. bashing was due to the failed Redmond presentation.

So we should all cut Microsoft some slack and not worry about these problems, pretend they don't exist? ;) (BTW I think this particular "hole" is daft because it requires an exacting situation.)

Of course not, but we shouldn't blow it out of proportion as all these reports are doing. And Microsoft should provide a better solution than saying "well, just switch off the speakers when you're away from the PC".

I hate to do this, as I am against telling everybody that a thread is a repost. Yet I have to this time: This is a repost. It sure is interesting though :)
