Pause live radio

Does anyone know of a free app that'd give me a TiVO like pause ability for audio? I've got a radio plugged in via the line-in of my PC, so the PC sounds and the music on the radio get mixed. Sometimes I'd like to record the current playing song - a tool that kept a rolling buffer, so I could rewind to the beginning of the track and hit record would be great.

You mean something legal? Some pretty draconian bills coming out in the States aimed at "protecting" radio streams.

Why not? I've never really had any problems with it, but other people say they wouldn't touch it with a bargepole. I've used the free RealPlayer since it's inception, pretty much. I use version 10 now to turn my CDs into MP3s. All the Best Julian N.
