When you bake food in the oven, are you supposed to put the shiny or the dull side of tinfoil towards the food? There's no instructions on the box!

I generally put the shiny side towards the food. But really, they're both fairly shiny, so i doubt it matters. Just don't eat it...

Seriously thanks for that link, I can now actually make more room in my brain for some other vexing questions now.

      Kind Regards, Gary

I have an idea, put two sheets of tinfoil down, one with the shiny side up and the other with it down. Problem solved,

We've had about 4 sunny days in the last 120 so such a thing as a solar cooker is a complete mystery to me at this moment. :)

It doesn't matter. The foil is shiny on one side and dull on the other because of the last rolling step in its manufacturing processing.

You say 'anymore'. Have you had metallic fillings replaced, and did you do so because of negative effects from them? I have a few that need replacing, and am curious as to whether I should insist on non-metallic.

As a child, i had several teeth filled with metallic fillings. But i lost those teeth. :) The teeth i've had filled since have been filled with the white fillings. Apart from being able to chew on foil with less discomfort, the cosmetic aspect is the only one i'm aware of.
