Again. :| Who do you think is most likely to win the World Cup this year? [edit]Score: 3.2 (7 votes) Yikes! I don't know what's so controversial about this post, unless the philistines are voting down everything to do with cricket. :~ [/edit] -- modified at 4:57 Tuesday 20th February, 2007

So, didn't they get enough of a taste during the triangular series recently. Now, let's see - who won that one? Oh yes, it was England (and this despite having a disastrous ashes).

the last thing I want to see is some pasty-faced geek with skin so pale that it's almost translucent trying to bump parts with a partner - John Simmons / outlaw programmer
Deja View - the feeling that you've seen this post before.

The strategy is they want to taste it real hard so that they completely understand what is loss (and its fears) before they jump into world cup. The fear of defeat puts the spirit in the team and makes them put their 100% effort to win the world cup:cool:

I wish it was India.. but the Aussies are still the favourites to win. What these string of losses have done is to take off the invincibility aura around the Aussies. Now other teams will take field against them thinking they might pull it off and in that sense it will be the most open event since 1992,with Australia having their noses in front and rest of the pack (SA,India,SL,Eng.,NZ) hot on their heels.

well in the space of a couple of week the ocker have made 1. the poms happu - lost the VB series 2. the japies happy - the japies n ow are #1 ranked 1 day side 3. the kiwis happy -...gosh i wonder how *muahhahahaha* 4. everyone else because they have shown a soft under belly when defending a total claims that they were hamstrung because they were without key players are misleading as all but 1 player were batsmen and in the last two games in nz they scored record totals for nz games It is doubtful whether Brett lee would have made the difference especially as the fast bowlers bled so many runs. Bryce the happy kiwi

May be or he may not have done so..Kiwis are notoriously difficult lot to beat in their own back yard.I remember Australia on the corresponding series held last year in NZ squeaked home(result was 2-1 Aus), with NZ chasing 322 ending up at 320 in the second game and overhauling 332 in the final match.SO they have a history chasing big totals against Aus.But I would'nt write off Australia just yet.But if any two out of the injured Lee,Hayden and Symonds dont make it to the WestIndies then they are in serious trouble
