What are you doing this weekend? :) I'm on support and will also have to iron ALL my clothes this weekend. Oh joy! :| Many unpleasant things have happened this week, and I'm sure it's my worst week in many months, if not years. :( :sigh: :(( X|

      Cheers, Vikram.

working some... and hopefully setting my first fully designed and created piece of jewelry into silver... :) The design work is all done and the precision settings for the gems are here. Everything is ready to go, but time... and time... is the most difficult part.

Well, if you are working, then could you please answer your phone. It's hard to believe that your own brother has to post on CodeProject just to get a response. Dude... you need to work less and relax more. ;P Eric

When it is done and AFTER my girlfriend sees it (I hate showing her gifts to others before she even sees them -- unless it is for strictly opinion sake -- maybe I could ask the other ladies if I did well and everyone else can just peek in). In any case, no, no bob... though I do take requests... for a fee... I have several designs waiting to be made. Mystic topaz with blue-green sapphire, and green flourite with vibrant green sapphire accents. I also have to come up with some later designs in gold, but I want to get readjusted with silver first (less expensive). It has been half a life since I worked with metals like this, and I never did it quite this way, so first pieces will be simple elegant, and very organic looking so that the flow is easy to polish and smooth. Think of waves or waterfalls of silver with gems set in them. That's not quite right, but it at least explains the organic feel of the pieces.

bwbwbwhaahahaa - if the piece is for your gf, don't show it to anyone else before she sees it. Trust me, I understand. And, later, when you can, please post some work. I'm fascinated by the variety of folks on this web site. Me? I have a dream of building a log cabin in the mountains - one or two bedrooms.... very simple, but snug (with high speed internet). The trick is building it for cash.

This is the closest I've seen to what Hindi movies portray - brothers separated at birth finding each other at the town fair.

I intend to have the flu; it's been nibbling at me for the last few days and I want it to just have its way with me. I have a bottle of tequila and some chicken soup, wish me luck.
