Internet Reversi - I wanna win!

Go for the sides, especially the corners. Don't worry about losing any central pieces until near the end. That's how I play, and it used to beat AIs... But then again they might have improved over the last 10 years!!! Have fun, Paul Westcott.

I keep losing Internet Reversi. Are there any sites that give some tips on improving my skills? I only started playing it today and have lost every game I played. I would like to win at least one game :-(

I've never played the internet version, but a good strategy is to stay within the 4x4 square area in the middle as long as possible. Also, try to get to the edges first. Like it or not, I'm right.

I badly need to play against a non-human to improve my game. My ego cannot stand repeatedly losing to an anonymous human on the internet. I don’t mind a computer beating me, but I cannot allow a human to do that repeatedly

Also, don't play in the three squares that are one away from each of the corners unless/until you have a really good reason to do it. I was about a middle level ability player on the Microsoft game site. Also, like one other person here said, the good players there knew how to play the middle well. They would force you to play on the next row to the outside then take they would take the outside. The piece on the outside cannot be outflanked, so is a great advantage. David

Don't worry too jch Nish, the first few days I played it I lsot every single game! Dave Now my game has improved, I still lose though. But I know my game has improved, and I bet I lose in a more dignified manner now :-) Nish
