I have just spent hours converting and importing about 20 camera videos from our Jamaica trip to a DVD. I burned them and then my wife had this brilliant idea... I can either reimport all the files and recreate the DVD (UGH!) or I can somehow read the non-copyright DVD back to an AVI file where I can use the Swiss Army Knife of Video tools Camtasia to make the video do my bidding. Is there a free program out there (that's reliable, not spyware) that will read/rip a non-copyright DVD to an AVI/MPG or even some other format? My nero program will do it but it wants $65 for me to upgrade and get the MPEG4 codec. X| Thanks! - Rex
